Freshwater West<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/osmaps.com\/discover\/assets\/uploads\/freshwater.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Near Castlemartin on the most southerly point of the trail is Freshwater West, a beach which is known as a surfer\u2019s paradise. Caer Bwdy Bay<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/osmaps.com\/discover\/assets\/uploads\/caer_bwdy_2.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>South of St Davids, these azure blue waters belong to the pebble beach at Caer Bwdy Bay. At low tide, a sandy stretch is exposed. Situated at the end of the valley, the small beach is perfect if you want to get away from it all \u2013 there\u2019s no parking and no facilities, which means it doesn\u2019t ever get too crowded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/explore.osmaps.com\/51.87286,-5.24568,15\/pin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EXPLORE CAER BWDY BAY<\/a><br><a href=\"https:\/\/shop.osmaps.com\/map-of-north-pembrokeshire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OS PAPER MAP: EXPLORER OL35<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-3-strumble-head-lighthouse\">3. Strumble Head Lighthouse<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/osmaps.com\/discover\/assets\/uploads\/stumble_head.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Located in the Pencaer Peninsula, a rocky headland on the northern portion of the trail near Fishguard, this beautiful spot comes to life at sunset. The lighthouse itself is fully automated, so there\u2019s no access to it. Skomer Island<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/osmaps.com\/discover\/assets\/uploads\/skomer_island.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The inviting turquoise waters belie the fact that you\u2019re not looking at an atoll in the Pacific Ocean, but at Skomer Island \u2013 which can be seen from the Coastal Path at Marloes and St Brides. Famed for its wildlife, you could spot puffins, seals or even dolphins. St Govan\u2019s Chapel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/osmaps.com\/discover\/assets\/uploads\/st_goven.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Nestled along the path between St Govan\u2019s Head and Huntsman\u2019s Leap near Bosherston is this fantastic building. Dating from the 6<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;Century, it was the home of Govan, a hermit, who was hiding from pirates. Marloes Sands<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/osmaps.com\/discover\/assets\/uploads\/marloes_s.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A sunset walk across the sands is most romantic and not an activity we Brits usually think of undertaking on home turf. Unless, that is, you\u2019re lucky enough to be near one of the Pembrokeshire Coast beaches \u2013 like this one, Marloes Sands. A mile of golden, curved beach in a fairly remote spot, it was used in the film \u2018Snow White and the Huntsman\u2019. Tenby Harbour<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/osmaps.com\/discover\/assets\/uploads\/tenby_harbour.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This gloriously pretty, pastel-painted harbour is one of the main attractions on the walking route and if you\u2019re looking for Pembrokeshire Coast Path accommodation, you might want to consider Tenby, with its medieval walls and castle. What\u2019s more, the stunning beach was named the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/news\/wales-news\/tenbys-harbour-beach-ranked-having-7229924\">most beautiful in Europe<\/a>&nbsp;in 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/explore.osmaps.com\/51.67310,-4.69733,16\/pin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EXPLORE TENBY HARBOUR<\/a><br><a href=\"https:\/\/shop.osmaps.com\/map-of-south-pembrokeshire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OS PAPER MAP: EXPLORER OL36<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-8-elegug-stacks\">8. Elegug Stacks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/osmaps.com\/discover\/assets\/uploads\/elegug_stacks.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>No, this isn\u2019t from Game of Thrones, it\u2019s the Stack Rocks (also known as Elegug Stacks) at Castlemartin. They are jagged limestone shards which have been created by the natural erosion of the rock around them. Striking to look at, the stacks house many seabirds, so don\u2019t forget your binoculars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/explore.osmaps.com\/51.61089,-4.99591,17\/pin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EXPLORE ELEGUG STACKS<\/a><br><a href=\"https:\/\/shop.osmaps.com\/map-of-south-pembrokeshire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OS PAPER MAP: EXPLORER OL36<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-9-barafundle-bay\">9. Barafundle Bay<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/osmaps.com\/discover\/assets\/uploads\/barafundle_bay.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Barafundle, a beach in the heart of the Mediterranean\u2026all right, it\u2019s not, but it could be. The Bay, in Stackpole, is among the most photographed points of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and for good reason. Located near Elegug Stacks, one of the best times to visit is at sunset, where the orange glow magically illuminates the arch.
