Kate Hopper gives us 10 of her favourite hill walks in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Covering 720 sq miles of beautiful lochs, mountains and glens, the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs was the first National Park to be designated in Scotland, opening on the 19th July, 2002.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/osmaps.com\/discover\/site\/uploads\/images\/KateH_LochLomond_BenNarnain2.jpg\" alt=\"Beinn-Narnaim\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><small><br>Beinn-Narnaim<\/small><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Conic Hill, Loch Lomond<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Conic Hill is a knobbly little peak which rises up 350m above Loch Lomond &#8211; giving incredible views across the loch. The walk to the top of Conic Hill takes around an hour and is great for kids &#8211; look out for the hill\u2019s resident shaggy highland coos! Ben A\u2019an, Loch Katrine <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Described by many as the perfect hill, Ben A\u2019an is a \u2018mountain in miniature\u2019. Popular with families, a recently upgraded path takes hikers steeply up to the summit 454m above Loch Katrine. Ben Ledi, Callander<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ben Ledi \u2018or the mountain of God\u2019 dominates the Trossachs town of Callander. Beinn Dubh, Loch Lomond <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Loch Lomond contains over 30 islands and my favourite view of them is from Beinn Dubh (The Black Mountain) above the village of Luss. Ben Lomond, Loch Lomond <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Challenging Ben Nevis for Scotland\u2019s most popular hill climb, Ben Lomond (\u2018Beacon Mountain\u2019) is tackled by around 30,000 people each year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My favourite views of Loch Lomond are actually from the Ptarmigan Ridge next to Ben Lomond. Ben Ime, Loch Lomond<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Arrochar Alps are a set of rocky peaks rising above the north end of Loch Lomond. Ben Vorlich, Loch Lomond<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The mighty Ben Vorlich (\u2018Hill of the Bay\u2019) is the most dramatic of the Arrochar Alps.
