I also love the jungle and the Arctic! These days, my dog (Layla) is the main driving force! She is responsible for getting my out so much more than what I used to. I also love the serenity of the Artic in winter and the madness of the jungles in the evenings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What is your favourite thing to do outdoors?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My all-time favourite, as I get older, is to find a beautiful tree and light a small fire on which I have a kettle boiling water for a cup of tea, and lean back against the tree and read a good book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who inspires you and how?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My good friend Tim, on his weight loss journey. The dedication and commitment he has put into it, so that he and I can go climb mountains together is inspiring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What are your focuses this year to help people get outside more often?<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><\/strong>I want to make people more aware of the natural environment around them and how much it has to offer. You don\u2019t need to travel to amazing areas; your local area is just as amazing, you just need to be able to see it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What are your 3 biggest life achievements?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Being physically fit after a major heart attack at 24. Royal Marines Commando.
